Coffee Club
Organize a back to school quarterly coffee with the
principal to facilitate school/family communication.
Family Sponsor Coordinator / Host Families
Coordinate a program to promote family interaction that
help new families acclimate to the SIJ community.
Chairs works closely with hospitality chair.
Thursday Folders
With the assistance of 8th graders, organize school
information in envelopes for Friday distribution.
Good Works
Provide SIJ families in need both spiritual and
practical assistance such as prayers, masses, cards,
meals, etc.
Hand in Hand
As Chair or committee member, you’ll work with our
social worker to plan and schedule a “respecting others”
program featuring speakers. Each chair should have
trained on the committee for one year prior to assuming
leadership (a one-year commitment.)
Hospitality
Organize social gatherings and parent/children
get-togethers to welcome and acclimate “new-to-
schoolers.” Volunteers are needed throughout the year
for all areas of hospitality including visitor follow-up.
Prayer Book
Compile a list of favorite student prayers, bind them
into a book and offer for sale.
School Directory
Oversee the publishing of the SIJ school community
directory.
School Photographer
Digitally photograph school and sporting events for
Scoops and the SIJ Yearbook.
Scoops
Prepare and print “Scoops”, our monthly PSA newsletter
for school families. This position requires a year-long
commitment and publishing experience. Volunteer
reporters are also needed for each grade.
Website Content Managers
Help us keep this website current by updating the site
on a once-per-month basis. Experience with website
publishing is a plus.
Welcome Moms
Host a coffee for your grade to welcome new families
each year. One volunteer family per grade is needed.
