Health Program

Illinois state law requires a complete medical physical, and recommends a dental exam, for children entering kindergarten and fifth grade. Annual hearing and vision tests are administered at school. Parents are
notified if results indicate the need for a more complete examination.

Each year a nurse from the DuPage County Health Department is assigned to Saint Isaac Jogues to review student records and advise the administration.

We will not dispense medication to students without the express written consent and direction of a physician.

Student Insurance

During the first part of each school year, parents and students are provided information and recommendations on accident insurance. The school does not provide insurance but strongly advises that
parents – either through their own personal insurance or a separate school policy – obtain coverage for each attending child.

For children involved in school athletics, accident coverage is imperative and required.
