Parent Student Online Handbook:
Dress Code
All students are expected to be in proper uniform each day. Parents are asked to monitor their children’s attire. Judgments regarding appropriateness of a child’s appearance and attire will be made by the principal.
Generally, our school uniform colors are navy blue, red, plaid and white. Details of our Saint Isaac Jogues school-day and physical education uniform dress codes, as well as order forms, are in the Parent-Student Handbook parents receive at registration.
Shirts, blouses, slacks, shorts, sweaters and gym clothes and related items may be purchased from Dennis Uniform Company or from Land’s End. To order online, simply click here and you will be linked to the Saint Isaac Jogues page.
We strongly recommend that parents label all items of clothing.
Personal Appearance and “Casual Days”
Here are some basic guidelines for all students:
Haircuts should be conservative.
Belts are mandatory: either solid black, brown or navy blue.
Make up is not allowed, nor colored nail polish.
Earrings should not fall below the earlobes and they
must be worn as a single matched pair. Around the
neck, only a Catholic religious symbol (on a fine chain)
is acceptable.
All clothing must fit properly. Short pants or skirts must not rise higher than two inches above the knee.
Regarding shoes: flat (below the ankle), leather tie, loafers or buckle shoes are acceptable. Students should not wear athletic shoes (except for gym), backless shoes, clogs or sandals.
Several “casual days” are designated each year. Students may wear jeans, sport shirts, etc. However, the following are NOT acceptable casual attire:
Baggy, low-riding pants.
Pajamas or “sleepover” tops or bottoms.
T-shirts adorned with inappropriate logos (such as alcohol logos).
Torn or ripped clothing.
Shorts or sandals (in cold weather).
Excessive jewelry.
Hats (except on “Hat Day”).
Backless tops, spaghetti straps or tank tops.
