Grades 5 through 8
Football for boys begins in fifth grade, when students
are sufficiently physically developed to participate
in a peer-level contact sport under supervision by the
coach.
Practice begins in early August on a daily basis,
Monday through Friday, then changes to twice weekly
(Tuesday and Thursday) when school opens later in the
month.
Football games are played on Sundays, September
through October.
The goal of our athletic program is to provide our
students with learning opportunities that can be found
in few other venues of life. We believe that healthy
athletic competition and high moral standards
complement each other. At Saint Isaac Jogues,
positive teamwork and Christian sportsmanship
go hand-in-glove.
Participation in athletic activities is a privilege, not
a right. Student-athletes are expected to abide by the
school’s code of conduct. Moreover, student-athletes
must meet the school’s Academic Standards for
Athletic Participation.
By joining a Saint Isaac Jogues team, student athletes commit to attend all practices and games.
The Athletic Director is responsible for selecting all
coaches. Try out dates will be posted by the Athletic
Director.
