Religious Education:

A centerpiece of the Saint Isaac Jogues experience
is education in the tenets of the Catholic faith.
Students also are provided a strong foundation in the
history of the church, from its unique origins and
indispensable role in the shaping of western
civilization to its continuing dynamism today.

We emphasize “living the faith” every day.
Academics, athletics, co-curricular activities – all
aspects of student life – are suffused with a focus on
ethical behavior and Catholic values.

Students are strongly encouraged to attend Mass.
Throughout the academic year a number of special
liturgies also are scheduled. Students can participate
as lectors, sacristans, choir members and servers
in upper grades.

Preparedness programs for Sacraments are
coordinated by the parish Religious Education Office:

Preparation for First Holy Communion is in second
grade.

Fourth graders prepare and receive the Sacrament
of Reconciliation.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is in eighth grade.

As always, in religious instruction we respect and
recognize parents as the primary educators. Parents
are encouraged to attend preparation meetings
and work at home with their children.
