  Reconciliation

At St Isaac Jogues Parish, most families celebrate First Reconciliation in fourth grade. Registration forms are available in the spring for the upcoming year.

Families who have a child in a grade higher than fourth and who has not made First Reconciliation are also welcome to bring him or her to preparation for this sacrament. The desire for such preparation and celebration can be expressed by contacting the Director of the Reconciliation Preparation Program (Helen Johnson). . Families who would prefer to have their child receive First Reconciliation before 4th grade should also contact the Director of the Reconciliation Program (Helen Johnson).

Because all families constitute one parish, the children of both the parochial school and the public schools come together to participate in the sacramental celebration for First Reconciliation. Families, who want to celebrate as an individual family rather than as part of the group, are welcome to do so by contacting a parish priest to arrange the details. Reconciliation is offered to all members of the parish on Saturday evenings from 4:15 pm to 4:45 pm.

Today’s Church in all her work needs to become more aware of God mercy and to follow the example of Jesus himself.

John Paul II, On the Mercy of God, 12
