FROM THE WORSHIP OFFICE
By Jim Murray, Director
The following are the responses from the questions asked of the
office on Liturgical matters regarding the Renovation and
Transitional Worship Space as presented at the Parish Town Hall
meeting, on April 3, 2006.
Q: When will the main worship space close?
A: On the 4th Sunday of Easter - May 7, 2006 as part of the 12:00
noon celebration, we will transfer the sacred objects to their
transitional location.
Please note that a parish party concluding our 75th year as a Roman
Catholic faith community is planned for May 7, 2006 after the 12:00
noon Eucharistic Liturgy, prepared by our Anniversary committee.
Q: What will happen with the sacred objects?
A: All will be used within their appropriate liturgical season.
The rest of the objects, (i.e. windows, statues) will be safely
stored and reused.
Q: Where will we worship?
A: Three worship spaces:
Fireplace room – For Daily Masses and where devotions will be held
and where the tabernacle will reside.
School Gym – For weekend celebrations of the Eucharist by the faith
community.
Parish Center – For Holy Days, School masses, and our Religious
Education liturgies.
Q: Will we get new pews and kneelers?
A: Yes.
Three different types of pews and kneelers available for us to try.
Watch the bulletin for details. If you are interested in a
historical pew, please sign up- if you want to take a pew home
(must be removed Sunday night, May 7, 2006)
The school Sisters of Notre Dame (building a new chapel in July
2006) and a parish in New Orleans are two of the places that are
interested in our old “historical” pews.
Q: Where will daily mass be held?
A: The Fireplace room of the parish center. All Devotions will be
held in the Fireplace room during the renovation.
Q: Will the Mass Schedule be the same?
A: YES, we do NOT forsee any changes
Q: Where will confession be held?
A: At this time in Office of Athletic Director directly off the
transitional worship space.
Q: Sacramental Life of the Parish?

and ONLY be using their spaces, we will bring our own ministers to
each sacramental experience.
